If you have passed your 12th in medical, then many of you might think that MBBS is the only option. Many of you also think that there are only few courses after taking medical but you are wrong here. It is true that MBBS is the primary option of medical students, but you also have to understand the fact that it is not easy for everyone to clear neet, because of so much of competetion. But you don’t have to worry as there are many other options than MBBS. So here are few courses after medical in 12th.

1. BDS

BDS( bachelor in dental surgery), if you have scored slightly less than cut off marks for MBBS, you can take admission in goverment BDS college. There are also many colleges who give private admission without considering your marks in neet. BDS is 5 year bachelor degree in the field of dentistry. Many students think that there is less scope in jobs after doing BDS but they are wrong. There is huge scope of dental doctor with good salary. You can also open your own clinic after doing BDS.

2. B. Pharm

B. Pharm is a 4 year course in pharmacy. In this course you will get training to become a pharmist. You will get to know more about medicines as how they are made and their applicability. Scope of pharmacy is also very wide, unlike mbbs this course have scope in lot of private sector and with good salary. To get admission in pharmacy college you need more than 50% in 12th with pcb or pcm. There are lot of colleges that are providing this course you can select any one with good rating and good image.

3. BPT

BPT(bachelor in physiotherapy) is a 4 year undergraduate course. It involves the science of physical movement aimed at preventing disease and disability. As word physiotherapy say itself all, it is a corse in which you are going to learn how to cure disease by physical movement of body. There are lot of colleges that are providing this course. Some college have their own internace exam to get admission, and some colleges give private admission.

4. Bvsc

Bvsc(bachelor in vetnary science) is a course which include Science that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, disorder and injury in non-human animals, or simply you can say that doctor of animals. In this course you will get to learn about how to treat animals and how to cure diseases. There is lot of scope of vetnary doctor even in India. There are many colleges that are providing vetnary and many of them have their own internace. Some colleges also provide private admission for vetnary course.


Bams(bachelor of ayurvedic medicine and surgery) is a 5 year course in which you will get to learn about study of the integrated system of modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda. There are many colleges that are offering this course. Goverment and private both colleges are available for this course. For goverment college you need average marks in neet. So you have done your 12th with pcm, and you don’t want to do engineering. If you think that engineering is the only option after 12th science, then you are wrong. There are lot of courses other than engineering, and don’t worry about the package or salary. If you do hardwork, these course can give you even higher package than engineering. 1. Graduation in fashion and apparel design

BSc in fashion and apparel design is 3 year graduation course which is divided into 3 semisters. Qualification required for doing this course is 10+2. In this course you will get to learn about textile making, designing, production, and marketing. Fees for this course may vary from college to college from 3-10 lakhs and you will get average package of 3-12 lakhs.

2. Hotel managment

There are lot of hotel managment course available after 12th class. Some of them are listed below

Average starting salary of commercial pilot is 10lakhs-25 lakhs per year.

4. BBA

Bachelor of buisness administration is 3 year graduation course. This course will enhance your skill in buisness managment. Average fees for this course is between 1-3 lakhs.

5 Forensic science

In your childhood you might have seen many detective TV shows like CID. And maybe some of you also know the work of forensic science. BSc forensic science is a 3 year integrated course which involves application of science knowledge in investigation crimes. Average fees for this 3 year integrated course is 30thousand-2 lakhs ruppes. So you can also make your carrier in this field.

6. Graduation in multimedia

Graduation in multimedia involves animation and graphic course of 3 years. To get admission one should have passed 10+2 in pcm wihh more than 50 marks. The fees for this course vary from college to college. Average fees is between 1lakhs-5 lakhs. In this course, students study computer graphics, storyboarding, computer languages, technology, nature of the moving image, and appropriate mathematics. Average salary per annum after doing this course will be between 2 lakhs-20 lakhs, and will be based on how expert you are.

7. Jewellery design

You can do course as 3 year degree or 1 year diploma. But if you are doing after 12th I ll suggest you to do 3 year course. There is lot of job carrier in this field, so don’t care much about jobs. If you have intrest in computer and technology, and you don’t want to do engineering, then this would be the right option for you. Bachelor in computer applications is 3 year course divided into 6 demister. With the growing need in IT sector makes this course more popular. There are lot of Mnc’s that are hiring BCA students, so there is large scope for BCA students. You can also do MCA(master in computer application) after BCA for more perfection and for high salary. MCA is 2 year degree.

10. BA

I know that this is underrated course but this course also have many signifiacne. If you Google then you will find that most of the students who have cleared civil services exams are from arts background. If you have intrest in politics or history then you will surely love this course. There are also many carrier opportunities after BA. You can also do MA after BA.
